Here’s a bonus tip right here to prove to you that what we are about to tell you will change your whole gaming experience for the better.

Do you know that you can also change your Play-Station region just like you can do it on your mobile device? Interesting right? All you need to do is change PS4 Region with a VPN and enjoy geo-restricted games for your region at a discounted price and low ping.

Now let’s get started with those tips.

1. Customization of Home Screen

Getting tired of seeing the same old home screen again and again and want to change it?.

To get new home screens, go to PS4 settings, Themes, and select a brand new look for your PS4. If you haven’t loaded up, select Find in PlayStation Store and find one you like most.

You will find both premium and free themes in that section; you will have to scroll a little bit down for the free ones. It also includes an animation in some of these themes to get you excited every time you open your console.

2. Resume after Rest

We all hate it when our favorite game takes up time to load. Well, don’t worry. Today, you will be learning a way that will allow you to resume your game from the exact moment to left it.

Go to PS4 settings, Power Saving Settings, and Set Features Available in Rest Mode. Select Keep Application Suspended, and each time you fire up your PS4 after putting it in Rest Mode, you’ll be right where you left yourself last – Pretty handy when you are winning against your friends.

3. Controlling by the TV remote

What if I tell you that you can turn your PS4 on and off by your TV remote control – and no, this is not some sorcery but just a simple setting in your PS4.

Go to PS4 settings, System, and tick HDMI Device Link. Check this, then head over to your TV settings and turn on the same setting.

It is essential to understand that it isn’t necessary that every TV manufacturer would have the same name for this link. So you have to confirm the name by which your TV manufacturer has given this link on your TV.

Once this link has been enabled on both PS4 and TV, your gaming console will be able to turn it off and on by your TV remote.

4. Gaming Folders

There’s no harm in getting a little organized, is there? Now that you have plenty of games on your console, you must get tired of searching for the one you wish to play from all the games available to you.

Well, you can create folders depending on your preference, game genre, game type, and much more. Just highlight a game and hit Options, Add to Folder.

Using this feature, you can categorize your games, saving the time you invest in searching for the game.

5. Sharing is Caring

We all used to borrow games from our friends or cousins, but the digital gaming age has made it much more straightforward.

If you are in a place where multiple people are using a single PS4, then they can play each other’s installed games as long as it’s set as the game owner’s “primary PS4”.

You can set this by going to PS4 settings and then select the option in Account Management. It is a pretty handy feature if you have kids or roommates.

6. Headphones

If you do not wish to run a headphone cable through the whole lounge, only to get the best sound experience, then we have got something you will definitely like.

You can plug in a headphone cable directly in your controller at the backside instead of plugging it into the TV or gaming console.

This will save you the hassle of minding the Headphone cable every time you cross your lounge as well.

7. Screenshots

You probably already know that tapping the Share button on the controller lets you save a screenshot after entering the share menu, but what if we tell you that there is another more straightforward way as well.

To do this, tap tap the Share button, press options, Sharing and Broadcast settings, Share Button Control Type, then choose Easy Screenshots.

Each time you press the share button, the console will save a screenshot instead of showing you the share menu like before.

8. Working while sleeping

As it is a machine, it can even operate when in rest mode. You can ask your gaming console to a couple of things while it is resting.

These things include charging your controllers when you’re not using them and automatically download updates for your latest games.

Go to PS4 settings, Power Saving Settings, and once again, go to Set Features Available in Rest Mode. Enable Supply Power to USB Ports and Stay Connected to the Internet.

9. Single and Double Tap

We are used to multitasking; therefore, anything which makes it possible is close to our hearts.

If you single tap the home button during the game, the PS4 will bring you to the home screen. By double-tapping on the same button, it will get you back to the previous screen.

This double-tap feature is pretty handy if you are playing a game and talking to your friends via messages on your console.

10. Playstation Application

Downloading the Play-Station application on your Android or iOS device is very much handy. It lets you keep track of the games you are playing. Voice chat, send messages to your PSN friends, hang out online, and plan your next multiplayer session.

Shop for the latest releases, pre-order games, and start the download for new games so they are ready for you by the time you return to your house.
