PCs are filled with all sorts of voltage-sensitive components that could be damaged quite easily due to a power surge. While it may not necessarily fry your computer completely, it might shorten the lifespan of your PC parts significantly.
It could also lead to you irreplaceably losing your data. Because of this, it’s extremely important to use surge protectors to secure your high-end electronic equipment.
4. Monitor Stands/Monitor Mounts
Especially when your desk isn’t that spacious it can be very helpful to utilize every last bit of space, either through monitor stands or even monitor mounts.
Both elevate your monitor, making for a much comfier work environment while also letting you utilize the space where your monitors would usually be sitting. Having a nicely elevated monitor really helps with back pain since it promotes sitting up straighter! Make sure to not position your monitors too high though as to not to strain your neck.
5. Privacy Screen Filters
A privacy filter is a thin piece of plastic that sticks over your monitor or display to prevent people from staring at your screen and potentially stealing confidential information. Some Laptops offer these sorts of filters already built in, but most monitors do not.
So, if you don’t appreciate anyone peeking over to look at your screen and potentially seeing sensitive information like online bills, password logins or e-mails you might want to invest into one of these filters. They also protect your screen from scratches and dirt.
