Here’s what you Should Know About Texas, the Highest U.S Oil Production

With oil and gas production increasing in Texas` Permian and Eagle Ford basins, the United States is now the global largest oil producer.

We can attribute that to the rising oil production in the Permian region, which has increased nearly 400% since 2010. We have also seen the production of natural gas increase by 100%.

With the increase in oil and gas production, carbon emissions have also increased. The climatic repercussions from the Permian basin alone can take up 10% of the carbon budget in the world. The world’s carbon budget refers to the amount of fossil pollution that can be recorded before we exceed the 1.5 Celsius global warming boundary.

1. We are Exporting more oil than ever, which Places us at a Higher Risk of Climate Problems

The increasing oil and gas production is affecting the climate where it originates. It also poses a danger to the countries it is shipped to, where the fossil fuels will also be burned.

In the later part of 2018, The U.S. Gulf Coast made a name as the net exporter. Now, projections say that the entire United States will be a net exporter by 2022.

If the Permian basin’s oil is transported to foreign countries, it will negatively affect the efforts the United States made using the Green New Deal to promote renewable energy.

2. Houston is the Meeting Point for Exports, Profits, and Toxicity

Houston’s shipping channel is the primary route for exporting crude oil products, with almost 700,000 barrels exported daily. The city also houses the refineries that work on these products, as well as the corporate headquarters.

With Houston holding all these facilities, the number of fire outbreaks, leaks, and other environmental crises will only increase.

3. The oil and Gas Industry Seeks to Expand

Although it is obvious that fossil fuels challenge our climate goals, the industry is going ahead to increase production. While we are spreading global awareness about the need to act immediately on climate change, fossil fuel companies are creating more infrastructures. They are setting up more offshore export passages, pipelines, all with the drive for profit.

4. The Houston Natural Resource Corporation is opening up a commercial oil field environmental facility

The facility has the permission to get rid of 25,000 barrels of oil containing toxic wastes daily. It will soon begin to sterilize toxic solid wastes from Texas oil fields. This is especially important step to environmental protection towards keeping land fields free from toxic materials.

Hopes are high that HNR Oil Services will expand to other processing facilities across several oil-producing areas.

HNR Oil Services LLC YO Commercial Facility is higher than all federal and state requirements for environmental protection.

The facility will pay special attention to removing oil and gasses from water and solid matter, take away harmful chemicals and suspended solids.

Through remediation of oil field bi-products and saltwater disposables, this commercial facility will enter a world of many revenue streams.
