The App Store is an Apple service that consists of an online app store for the iOS operating system. It is available on the Internet, through the application of the same name or through iTunes on PC and MAC.
The App Store was launched on July 10, 2008, as an iTunes update, to control the quality of applications.
Most categories in the App Store have applications that due to downloads end up being trending with many downloads and reviews left by people, both good and bad. These applications are constantly changing, and in the following lines, I will present some trending applications being from a specific category.

Photo Editor
Snapseed is a photo-editing application produced by Nik Software, now owned by Google, for iOS and Android, which allows users to enhance photos and apply digital filters.
Snapseed users can edit images using drag-and-drop to select different effects and enhancements. Alternatively, users can opt for an “automatic” colour and contrast adjustment. Snapseed can save users’ edit history and redirect to any of the previous actions. It can also create and save filter combinations using default filters and editing functions. The list of special effects and filters includes Drama, Grunge, Vintage, Focus-Center, Frames and a Tilt-shift. Users can also import RAW images for better quality changes. Snapseed 2.0 introduced new filters such as lens dimming, glamorous glow, HDR scape and noir while reformatting the instrument section with a clearer user interface. Users can share images directly on social networking sites such as Facebook and Instagram.

iMovie is a video editing software application developed by Apple for macOS and iOS devices.

iMovie includes options for changing and improving video colour settings, cropping and rotating a video, stabilizing shaky videos, adding video transitions, and changing video speeds. There are video effects with multiple clips, such as creating a cut, using a green/blue screen to crop a subject, and replacing the background with a different clip, creating a split-screen and picture-in-picture effect. iMovie can also manipulate and enhance the sound of a project by reducing background noise and boosting the audio level of quiet clips.
Import and export from other Apple software
With iMovie having versions on Apple’s mobile and desktop operating systems, Apple introduced a feature that allowed users to import iMovie projects from iOS to macOS. Similarly, if a project requires more advanced editing than iMovie can provide, iMovie allows projects to be sent to Final Cut Pro X.
Trailers
iMovie allows you to create movie trailers using included templates. The trailer feature in iMovie allows clips to be easily thrown into the timeline, which consists of storyboard panels that have a label that lists what type of clip should be placed in each panel. The template also includes an image for adding titles and credits to the trailer.
Application previews
iMovie can be used to create previews of the app for use in the Apple App Store. Application previews allow developers to give users a brief overview of an application via video rather than images.
Streaming
Twitch is a live video streaming service operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon. Launched in June 2011 as a spin-off of the streaming platform of general interest Justin.tv, the site focuses mainly on streaming live video games, including streaming sports competitions. Site content can be viewed live or on video on demand.
Twitch’s popularity overshadowed that of his general interest counterpart. In October 2013, the website had 45 million unique viewers, and by February 2014, it was considered the fourth largest source of internet traffic in the United States.
Finally, I would like to mention that these applications are currently in trending, at any time being able to decrease in this rank depending on the downloads and reviews offered by consumers.
