It cannot be denied, we all love a great deal. Getting freebies or special perks when purchasing an item is always enjoyable – and that is a fact that many brands are clearly very well aware of.
There are so many deals out and about these days, with companies particularly using them to try and entice new people to sample their products and services.
A standard strategy
Put simply, introductory offers and promotions for new customers are now a standard strategy used across many sectors.
In terms of entertainment, we are used to seeing them in the streaming world, with both Netflix and Disney+ for example offering people free access to their services for a limited period. The concept has even found a place in financial services, with banks often offering perks to new account holders. Elsewhere, as Trussle outlines, first time buyer mortgages can also come with special deals attached, such as fee-free services and cashback. Anyone who has signed up to other forms of subscription-based concepts will also be aware of the trend, with meal kit companies like Blue Apron for example offering savings to customers across their initial orders. Finally, new subscribers to music services like Spotify can also often access free trial periods.
The video gaming world is no stranger to special offers either and if you’re looking to sample a new way to play, there are plenty of promotions out there for you to take advantage of. Here are just three platforms offering introductory deals at the time of writing.
Google Stadia
The streaming service from Google has been offering a two-month trial of its Pro service in recent months, with the official site explaining how it offers “instant access” to a range of games.
Titles, including Destiny 2, have been featured in the deal, so now may be your chance to see what the system has to offer and whether its innovative console-free concept really is the future of video gaming.
Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass often features introductory offers and at the time of writing, players could get their first month on the Ultimate service for just £1.
Xbox.com explains that by taking up the deal, people can access more than 100 console and PC games, as well as Xbox Game Studio titles on the same day as their release. Further exclusive member discounts and deals are also included.
Apple Arcade
Another gaming service that gives you a chance to play across a number of devices is Apple Arcade and you can sample the platform for free for one month.
As the official site outlines, it offers more than 100 games, which can either be played online or offline, while access is available for up to six members of your family. There is no need for in-app purchases and the games are also ad-free.
Towers of Everland is out now!
Storm the grounds of ancient towers. Fend off ghoulish enemies. Look for treasure. Not bad for a days work in a distant land from which few shall ever return.
